Speakers at both panels include:
Daniel T. Lukasik is an attorney from Buffalo, New York and listed in the publication The Best Lawyers in America. Dan suffers from depression and is the creator of the national website and blog Lawyers with Depression (http://lawyerswithdepression.com/). He will speak about his struggles with depression as a practicing attorney, why those in the legal profession suffer from depression at twice the national rate and what we can do about it.
Marjorie A. Silver is a Professor of Law at Touro Law Center and member of the Board of Trustees of the New York State Lawyer Assistance Trust. Professor Silver will speak about her personal experience with major clinical depression and the support available to lawyers, law students and their families through state and local Lawyer Assistance Programs.
Andrew Sparkler is the President of the Dave Nee Foundation (http://www.daveneefoundation.com/). He is speaking on behalf of the Dave Nee Foundation's "Uncommon Counsel" program. Uncommon Counsel seeks to educate law students about both the prevalence of depression in law school as well as available treatment options. It also encourages the development of symbiotic, nurturing relationships among law students in an effort to reduce the stigma of depression.

Adam Bialow '92 Named February 2011 Alum of the Month
Touro Law Center's Office of Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is proud to announce that Adam Bialow ’92 has been selected as the alum of the month for February 2011. Mr. Bialow is a leader in his profession, was an active member of the Touro Law community while attending law school, and remains engaged with the law school as a member of the Alumni Council, attends a number of law school forums and participates in the Law Center’s Mentor Program for current students. His accomplished career is highlighted in the profile below. On behalf of the entire law school community, we extend our congratulations to Adam Bialow.
Adam Bialow is currently Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs for Shine International, which is the international sales and distribution division of Shine Group. The company distributes over 3,000 hours of high quality programming to over 150 countries worldwide. In this capacity, he oversees the division’s business and legal affairs team which is based in Los Angeles, California and London, England. He is responsible for handling the day to day business & legal affairs of the division relating to the acquisition, licensing and distribution of television formats and television programming in all forms of media worldwide including such programs as The Biggest Loser (NBC), Minute to Win It (NBC), MasterChef (Fox), Live To Dance (CBS) and One Born Every Minute (Lifetime).
