Our "Liberty and Justice For All" Dinner that was scheduled for Tuesday, November 13th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 6:30 p.m. at the Garden City Hotel. We will honor the 2012 Members of Touro Law Center's Builders Society, including Professor Ilene Barshay '87, Honorable Leon Lazer, Professor Lawrence Raful and alums Thomas Rosicki '97 and Thomas Santucci '83.

After The Disaster: Ongoing Legal Needs for the Victims of Superstomr Sandy CLE Program
Touro Law Center and TLC Heart will be holding a CLE Program "After the Disaster: Ongoing Legal Needs for the Victims of Superstorm Sandy" on Friday, February 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Touro Law Center. 3 Professional Practice Credits are available.
Program Description: The legal needs of Superstorm Sandy's victims did not end when the utility tricks went home. This CLE will identify ongoing legal needs and how best to represent clients with their legal issues. The program will be hosted by two of Touro Law's experts in the field: Dean Patricia Salkin, a national expert in land use law and Professor Tracy McGaugh, an expert in disaster relief legal issues. Topics will include: Property Issues - environmental concerns, land use and rebuilding issues and insurance appeals; Government and Benefit Issues - FEMA Appeals, public benefits, housing and landlord-tenant issues; Consumer Issues -Labor and employment problems, contractor fraud.
Registration: The cost of the program is $25 for CLE credit and $10 for non-CLE credit participants. The cost includes continental breakfast and CLE credit. Register today at wwww.tourolaw.edu/cleregistration, call (631) 761-7005 or fax your registration to (631) 761-7069.

Law Firm Challenge Results
Congratulations to the firm of Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates, P.C., under the leadership of Thomas Rosicki, Esq. '97 who are the winners of the 2012 Law Firm Challenge. The Law Firm Challenge Trophy was presented to members of the Rosicki Firm during the Annual Winter Alumni Reception on January 24th at the firm of Duane Morris LLP. Coming in second place was the law firm of Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman LLP under the leadership of Michelle Schmitt, Esq. '07.
Established in 2010, the Law Firm Challenge provides alumni with a unique opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater, support the continued success of Touro Law Center, strengthen the alumni network and enchance their firm's profile. Firms with five or more Touro Law graduates are eligible to participate in the Law Firm Challenge. Participating firms will compete for the highest percentages of alumni giving to the Law Center, with an emphasis on gifts to the Annual Fund.
