Jerusalem in July 2013

Coming this July, Touro Law Center will be holding a 4 credit CLE program in Jerusalem.  The program will explore the important legal issues of self-incrimination and the duty of confidentiality, through a comparative analysis of Jewish law and American law.  The program will provide a deeper understanding of each legal system on its own terms, while identifying additional questions for further study. 
Speakers will include:  Professor Samuel J. Levine, Touro Law Center; Rabbi Yosef Carmel and Rabbi Moshe Ehrenreich, Eretz Hemdah.

The program will be held on July 9, 2013 at the Eretz Hemdah Institute of Advanced Jewish Studies in Jerusalem.  The cost of the program is $200 for CLE credit.  The cost includes 4 CLE credits and refreshments.

May 2013 Alum of the Month - Gerard Catalanello '92



Touro Law Center's Office of Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is proud to announce that Gerard Catalanello ’92 has been selected as the alum of the month for May 2013.  Mr. Catalanello was an editor on the Touro Law Review while attending law school and he remains an active member of the Touro Law Center Community through the Dean’s Alumni Advisory Council and special event committees.

Catalanello, partner with the New York City law firm of Duane Morris LLP  practices in the area of bankruptcy and creditors' rights law, representing debtors, creditors, creditors' committees, financial institutions, liquidation trusts, equity holders, trustees and acquirers of assets of troubled companies in formal bankruptcy proceedings as well as in out-of-court workouts.
