Federal Bar Program - Your Legal Career: Opportunities and Transitions

The Federal Bar Association Eastern District of New York Chapter presents Your Legal Career: Opportunities and Transitions on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the Alfonse D'Amato United States Courthouse in Central Islip, NY (adjacent to Touro Law Center).

In this era of economic uncertainty, attorneys seeking their first position or considering a career change have many questions. How do I go about finding a new position? What can I expect in my new position? What skills will I need? Where will this new position lead? Is this the right time to make a move? The panelists will discuss their experiences and offer insight into these issues.

Panelists include:

A. Kathleen Tomlinson - United States Magistrate Judge, EDNY (former partner at Farrell Fritz, P.C.)

Timothy S. Driscoll - Justice of the New York Supreme Court (former Deputy Nassau County Executive)

Mark A. Lesko - Brookhaven Town Supervisor (former Deputy Chief, Long Island Criminal Division, United States Attorney's Office, EDNY)

Joseph R. Conway - Partner, Larusso & Conway (former Chief, Long Island Criminal Division, United States Attorney's Office, EDNY)

Moderator:

Gary R. Brown - Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Counsel, Litigation, CA, Inc. (former Chief, Long Island Bureau, United States Attorney's Office, EDNY)

Please RSVP by June 24 to Lindsay Gaddis at lgaddis@farrellfritz.com or (516) 227-0718. Law students welcome!
